A Special Thank You – Annual Christmas Concert in Aid of Our New Cultural Heritage and Visitor Centre
On Sunday, December 15th, 2024, the sacred walls of Ballintubber Abbey echoed once again with the stirring voices of the Mayo Male Voice Choir and our own beloved Ballintubber Abbey Choir. It was a night to remember — filled with festive favourites, community spirit, and heartfelt generosity.
Doors opened at 6:45pm, and by 7:30pm the Abbey was filled with the warmth of Christmas music, reflection, and connection.
We extend our deepest thanks to the Mayo Male Voice Choir for sharing the stage with us once again. Your presence brings such joy, and your continued support is deeply appreciated. Together, both choirs created a truly magical evening.
This annual concert is more than a performance. It is a gift — especially for those in our parish now living abroad who may not return home for Christmas. Thanks to the generosity of our online community, more than 7,000 of you tuned in via Facebook Live or through churchtv.ie/ballintubber — and many more have watched the recording since.
The concert is also available to watch on our YouTube channel, so you can enjoy it anytime that suits you during the Christmas season.
All donations raised on the night will go towards our exciting new project — the Cultural Heritage and Visitor Centre at Ballintubber Abbey. This development will help preserve our history, welcome future generations of pilgrims and visitors, and share the Abbey’s powerful story with the world.
