Ballintubber Abbey Choir
The Ballintubber Abbey Choir was established on in September 2012, and each year they continue to go from strength to strength. Under the direction of Janine Hoban, Maria Spellman & guitarist Liam McEvilly, the choir sings at Mass every Sunday and throughout the year for community and special events, enriching the spiritual life of the Abbey.
In 2024, they compiled and released a fundraising album titled ‘Dóchas ‘s Grá – Hope and Love’, where each song performed by the choir and accompanying musicians represents a specific month or liturgical season of the Church calendar. All proceeds from this beautiful collection go directly to the Preservation and Restoration Fund of Ballintubber Abbey, supporting the ongoing care of this historic and sacred site.
